Is there a minimum contract period?
No minimum contract on any of the three published plans — pay month-to-month and cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. Public sector and custom enterprise packages typically run on 12–36 month terms to unlock dedicated SLA support and on-site onboarding.
Is GPS hardware included in the price?
Software pricing is separate from hardware. GPS tracking devices can be purchased outright or rented monthly with full installation included. We'll recommend the right unit (basic, OBD, hardwired, or asset-tag) based on your fleet's vehicle types and use case.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes — you can move between Essential, Professional, and Premium at any time from the Billing page in your portal. Changes take effect from the next billing cycle, and we'll pro-rate any unused credit automatically. Switch to annual billing whenever you're ready to save a month.
What happens if I outgrow a plan?
Each plan covers a defined fleet size — Essential up to 5 vehicles, Professional up to 15, and Premium unlimited. When you add a vehicle that exceeds your current cap, the portal automatically prompts you to upgrade to the next tier. Nothing stops working, and there are no surprise overage fees — just a one-click upgrade from your next billing cycle.
Can I get SafeTrak for just my personal car?
Yes — SafeTrak Personal is R180/month for a single private vehicle, with hardware and professional installation included in the monthly price (rental model, no upfront cost). You get live GPS tracking, trip history, SOS panic button, home/work geofencing, and full access to the Community Recovery Network. No contract, cancel with 30 days' notice and return the device.
Is SafeTrak suitable for government tenders?
Absolutely. SafeTrak is 135% B-BBEE Level 1, 100% South African owned, CSD registered, and fully PFMA / MFMA compliant. We regularly support government tender submissions and can provide all compliance documentation, CIPC certificates, and tax clearance on request.
What's included in support?
Every paid tier includes business-hours email and WhatsApp support from a South Africa-based team — no overseas call centres, no bots. Enterprise and Government customers get a dedicated support line, named account manager, and guaranteed response SLAs.
Do prices include VAT?
Prices displayed exclude 15% VAT. A full tax invoice with your VAT registration number is issued automatically for every billing cycle.
Is the Community Recovery Network included?
Yes — every paid SafeTrak customer's vehicles are automatically covered by the Community Recovery Network at no additional cost. There are no separate recovery fees, no per-incident charges, and no hidden add-ons.
